The emission analysis for different hybrid electric vehicle charging systems in the four major cities (4MCs) of Saudi Arabia is detailed in Fig. 11. The proposed hybrid energy system addresses the charge demand of an EVCS in four major cities in Saudi Arabia. It has been assumed that EVCS has been set up in these four sites (i.e. Riyadh, Jeddah, Makah, and Medina). At various time intervals, about 30–40 electric vehicles (EVs) are expected to undergo charging at the EVCSs.
